Le tuyau de soudage par résistance électrique (tube en acier ERW) est une bobine laminée à chaud après le formage de la machine, l'utilisation de l'effet de peau à courant haute fréquence et des effets de proximité, le chauffage et la fusion des bords du tube, le rouleau presseur sous soudage sous pression pour réaliser la production.
Il existe des différences significatives dans les méthodes de soudage entre les tubes soudés à haute fréquence et les tubes soudés à l'arc submergé. Le soudage se faisant instantanément à haute vitesse, la difficulté d'assurer la qualité du soudage est bien supérieure à celle du soudage à l'arc submergé.
Utilisations: Pour le transport de gaz, d'eau et de pétrole dans les industries du pétrole ou du gaz naturel.
